Winchester 97 Solid Frame Parts

Parts Required for Conversion to Trenchgun

These are the parts/items required to convert a take down model 1897 to a trenchgun. Solid frame models only require item 1. heat shield, item 5. Shorten barrel, and item 6. Sling swivel

1. Heat shield with 3 screws

2. Solid frame magazine plug 

3, Solid frame magazine plug screw

4. Barrel notched for the heat shield screws. CAUTION! cutting these notches incorrectly can ruin the barrel.

5. Long barrels should be cut to about 20.5″ and no front sight

6. Sling swivel with 2 screws for the stock

NOTE: The takedown model will not need the magazine plug, screws, pin or the barrel band and screws reinstalled.
