It is legal for you to send your firearm to me as I am an FFL holder without using an FFL on your end to do so. As and FFL gunsmith I may legally return the firearm directly to you when work is completed without sending it to an FFL. Therefore, you can eliminate those additional charges. Contact me and I will send you a copy of my FFL so you can legally send your gun to me.
Laws: All firearm sales transactions will be done in a manner to conform to the applicable Federal and State laws. If the law requires a gun to be shipped to an FFL it is the buyers responsibility to locate a dealer that will receive the gun. A signed copy of the FFL is required to be provided to me prior to shipment. For original Winchester 1897’s it is also legal to ship to a C&R holders.
Domestic Shipments:
All long guns will be shipped via either UPS, USPS or FedEx.
Standard shipping fees will be $65.00 on long guns, with the exception that Trench shotguns will have a shipping fee of $75.00. An additional fee will apply to either of these shipments made using a hard case. The fee will be determined by weight and box dimensions at time of shipment. April 3, 2022 USPS put into effect “Nonstandard Fees” on all retail and commercial mail that falls into one of the following categories: Priority Mail Express, Priority Mail, First-Class Package Service, USPS Retail Ground, and Parcel Select. Surcharges start at any package longer than 22″, with a $4.00 fee for any package exceeding 22″ in length but is less than 30″. For packages over 30: in length, the fee goes up to $15.00. You also have to pay an additional $15.00 if your package is greater than 2 cubic feet in volume.
The shippers are all scraping up ways to increase their revenue. Oversized boxes, home delivery, signature required fee that is mandatory fee, Insurance fees, and 2% fee over and above all other fees.
If shipped in a hard case, shipping fees will be determined at time of shipment due to variations in size and weight.
Unless shipped in a hard case, I reserve the right to ship long guns in a “taken down” manner or with the stock removed. This will eliminate or at least reduce the chance of damage to the gun and especially the stocks.
Hand guns will ship via USPS Priority Mail at the rate of $40.00 for one hand gun, $50.00 on a pair of hand guns. This rate is subject to change in accordance with any increase the shippers charge. All shipments will include insurance. However, the insurance cost is not included in the shipping fees. The value of the shipment will be determined by the purchaser and the fee for that amount will be added to the above shipping fees.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPMENTS
FIREARMS, PARTS, AND ACCESSORIES CAN BE PAID FOR BY CREDIT CARD, BUT NOT UNTIL A SHIPPING/INSURANCE FEE IS DETERMINED. ALSO, A BANK WIRE TRANSFER CAN BE USED FOR PAYMENT. THE BANKS CHARGE A $45.00 FEE FOR THIS “SERVICE” AND IT IS PAID BY THE PURCHASER.
Export Shipments ARE AVAILABLE AS OF 8/1/17. I currently ship to Germany, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, U.K, Ireland, Spain, Norway, and France to name a few countries. If you reside outside of the U.S. DO NOT place an order thru this web site. Please email your parts order and complete delivery address so I can obtain an accurate insurance and International shipping quote for you. The shipping that will show and be charged is for U.S. domestic shipping only.
Firearms shipments will only be made after all required permits, licenses, and payment has been received. If you use or have an Exporter please provide the contact information for the company. Please understand that different countries have different rules regarding shipments of guns and parts as well as overall packing boxes, amount of insurance allowed, and gun specifics. It is the buyers responsibility to ensure the legality of receiving guns and or parts. I will work with you to ensure that any legal parts or guns are available to you. I will not file a claim, it is the buyers responsibility. Regardless of what the usps will tell you, EITHER THE SHIPPER OR RECEIVER CAN FILE A CLAIM. Be aware that carriers, USPS, UPS, and FedEx are EXTREMELY slow to pay a claim regardless of how much proof is given.
Layaway: Usually available at no extra cost on some items. However, please ask ahead of time so there is no misunderstanding on things like special order items.
